This is the website for all that is going on with the James H. Clark Auditorium.
This facility is operated by the Conway Public Schools and serves all the schools within the district and the community.
We encourage you to look through our current calendar for events upcoming. The Auditorium is available at certain times during the year for rentals. For more information you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (501) 450-4890.

OZARK FOLK CENTER IN CONWAY?
We are happy to announce that plans have been finalized for a big concert on March 14th. Many of you have gone to Mountain View to hear the great music at the Ozark Folk Center. Well, the Center is coming to us on Saturday, March 14th at 7 PM. The concert is sponsored the Center's Committee of 100. it will feature two of the center's most popular groups The Leatherwoods and Twang. We had them scheduled last year. But due to icy roads, it had to be cancelled. Put March 14th on your calendar and come out and join us. Admission will be $5.00 and we will provide more info as we get closer.
HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO
If you are wondering about the Conway High School Musical it will be April 23rd through 25th and the show this year is the rockin' musical "Footloose" We will have more information to come in the weeks ahead but rehearsals have already started and we are looking forward to a great show.
THE WORK IS ALMOST DONE
When you come to the Auditorium in the next few weeks, you will notice that some areas of the building are going through a facelift and it should be completed soon. We have a new coat of paint and new lighting is being installed in the remaining seating areas. We will try to get some pictures posted soon.

CHS Pre-Assessment Bands Concert
Our Sophomore, Concert and Symphnic Bands will present the music they will perform at the ASBOA Region IX Assessments on March 5th and 6th in our building. No admission charge and you are welcome to attend. DOORS OPEN AT 5:45 PM.

Excel presents "Conway's Voice"
The Choosing to Excel program is presenting this annual fund raiser and it is featuring talent from the local community along with some special guests. A delicious dinner will start the evening off in the CHS Cafeteria at 6:00 PM and then the Conway's "Voice" program starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the evening are $25.00 and can be obtained by calling the EXCEL office at 501-505-8590.

Jim Stone Kindergarten 1st and 2nd Grade Program
The Kindergartners along with the 3rd and 4th Graders at Jim Stone Elementary will present a program of music directed by Musical Specialist Mandy McCoy. No admission charge and the public is invited to attend. Doors will open around 6 PM.

CHS/CJHS Choirs Pre-Assessment Concert
The choirs at Conway High School and Conway Junior High directed by Sam Huskey and Kayla White will present the music they will perform at the ArkCDA West Central Region Assessments on March 5th through 7th at the Alma High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:00 PM.
Thursday, March 5th from 1:00-9:00 PM and Friday, March 6th from 4:00-9:00 PM
ASBOA Region IX Band and Orchestra Assessments
Over these two days, Band and Orchestras from school districts in the Region IX Area will be performing for a rating from judges. They will also perform for a sightreading judge. Admission to this event is free. Auditorium doors will open one hour before the first scheduled group is on stage. Due to rules that were set by the State ASBOA, no one is allowed to be in the area where sight reading takes place. We will post a page with the schedule and things to remember before the Assessments. We hope that you can attend.

Arkansas Regional History Day Awards Program
This is the highlight of the day as students are honored for their work during this day of competition. There is no admission fee and the public is welcome to attend. Doors will open around 1:30 PM.

Ellen Smith Elementary 2nd Grade Program
2nd Graders at Ellen Smith will present a program of music directed by Music Specialist Christina White. There is no admission charge and you are welcome to attend. Doors will open around 6:00 PM.
Tuesday, March 10th @ 6:30 PM
Marguerite Vann 1st Grade Program
It is an evening of singin' and square dancing as 1st Graders at Vann Elementary kick up their heels during this program directed by Music Specialist Jana Hefner. Program is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Doors will open at 6 PM.
